Hey Guys!!

I am getting my application stuff ready to apply this year for Fall 2020. I just wanted to see if I stack up, I don't have the most amazing stats, but with my job and the shadowing experience I have gotten I am super excited to apply and hopefully get into CRNA school.

I graduated in 2016 with a 3.4 cumulative GPA (not super competitive). I haven't taken the GRE quiet yet. I have since been working in a Level 1 Pediatric Cardiac ICU (surgical). I have been on the Governance counsel for 2 year and am the chair. I have been trained to run VADs, CRRT, circulate.. etc. I have been involved with numerous unit projects improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and quality as well as nurse satisfaction. On our specific unit we do all of the meds and charting for emergency bedside procedures/surgeries. I have also been CCRN certified for the past year and on multiple mission trips as a student nurse and now as a nurse. Lastly I am also a tutor for critical care nursing students.

I am just really nervous that since I have all pediatric experience and my GPA isn't amazing, but I am also nervous to take the GRE.

I am mostly looking to get into Westminster College due to location and proximity to family.

HOW DO I STACK UP? Do I have any chance at all??

Hey! So my stats were practically identical to yours. I started out as a new grad in the Neonatal ICU and moved to Pediatric Cardiac ICU after a year and nine months. My GPA was 3.4 overall but my nursing GPA was a 3.9 and science was a 3.7. I got into the first and only school I applied to. Alot of people will tell you that you should get adult experience or take classes to boost your GPA. I just want to let you know that it absolutely is possible to get in with your stats.
