Apply to Long Beach and Sonoma State- they both give vets preference! I got accepted into both for being a former Navy HM (you don't have to have been medical to get this preference, BTW). I'm not sure about vet preference in the other schools, but I know CSUEB, SDSU, CSUCI and CSUSM didn't offer it when I applied. I didn't apply to the others.
I speak for Utah-
SUU is a great school. Highly recommended. Aim for there first.
There are two others in the area. They are DSU, which is a highly competitive ADN 1.5 yr program, and Mojave Community College in Colorado City, AZ. Right across utah border. This is a 2 year program that accommodates working parents. It is only 2 days a week. It is relatively easy to gain admission to their program. All 3 schools carry an awesome reputation. Let me know if I can tell you anything else.

Hi everyone!
This fall, I will be applying to 6 California State University BSN nursing programs, which all include:
CSU Chico
CSU East Bay
San Diego State
CSU Fullerton
CSU San Marcos
CSU Channel Islands
I would like to know what you think my chances are with getting accepted into any of these programs, with these outcomes:
TEAS score: 80
Culm GPA: 3.5
Science GPA: 3.5
CNA Certified with 100+ hours of paid work experience
Recent U.S. Navy Veteran (4 years Active Duty, Honorable Discharge, Rank: E-5)
****ALSO, I am thinking about applying to nursing schools offering BSN programs in UTAH. However, will it be tougher to get into than schools in California?****
Southern Utah University
OR any accredited nursing programs within a 3.5 hour radius of SUU.
