Hi!

I am half way through my MSN in Nursing Informatics. I don't see any support groups so I have created one. If you are currently going through the Chamberlain University Nursing Informatics or recently graduated, Please feel free to join. Search facebook groups for "Chamberlain MSN Informatics."

Chamberlain University Nursing Informatics program is not very good. I have done research for myself and I have read that it is not looked upon favorably and they have no connections to the workforce. Plus, they come off as a sleezy for profit business. They don't post their tuition and the advisor seem like a salesmen not actually people that are trying to provide guidance within one's academic and professional journey.

I am looking into CUNY's Nursing Informatics program, which is online as well. But, the CUNY the tuition is low and CUNY has many connections to various medical institutions.

How's the program so far? I am considering going through them. Currently working full time in the operating room, so just wondering how the work load is gonna be.

STAY AWAY FROM CHAMBERLIN.

Have you read the review on here and other sites? They are a diploma mill and they hold very poor value in the workforce. Go to a public college or something more reputable.

You have the links to those reviews? Most of the reviews I've read have been positive.

Research anywhere on here or do a Google search and there are others who have spoken negatively about them.

Why would you want to go to a school that doesn't post their fees and tuition? That comes off as a scam. They have no real connections, they offer no scholarships and force people to take out loans to their crappy program.

The Smart RNs know that State/Public Universities are the best investment long term. No to Little DEBT AND ARE HIGHLY FAVORABLE IN TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT. I asked HR at the Hospital where am I if they considered for-profit school like Chamberlin valuable. I got a quick no. Same answer from the nurses here too.

Best of luck to you to whatever you decide.

To be fair ... https://www.chamberlain.edu/admissions/tuition-expenses

But I agree, I would look at state schools first, or private non-profits. I did my MSN in Nursing Informatics at a private, non-profit school.

What state or town do you live in?

I am currently in an accelerated BSN degree program at CUNY. (15 months) I have a degree already in Computer Science.

After my BSN program, I am looking into an online masters program at CUNY SPS in Nursing Informatics. Affordable and highly regarded.
