My score was a 65% and my sciences was like 40%. l studied and it's so much to remember. Do you if Chamberlain Chicago location will lookat your sciences scores too or they just at your overall score.? My incoming GPA is 3.7 and 3.4 if l was to tk it again and get a 75 do you l will get accepted into the program?

I advise don't take it yet. If you haven't yet...first off look at degree plan with Chamberlain. Their first year is all general core degree requirements for a BSN degree. That's all your A&Ps, Micro, History, Psychs, Englishs, and other degree requirements non nursing. The nursing classes don't come til the last 2 yrs. Take the classes at a community college where youre gonna pay wayyyyyyyyyy less than chamberlain cost per credit hr. One class there is over 6x as much as a community college which is around 100 a credit hr. So my advice knock out as many of those science classes and core classes as you can before you go there if thats where you wanna go. Why your HESI was so low is because you're trying to memorize the info in the study guide instead of know the information cause you havent been taught it yet in class, I don't believe. Also, yes you have to have above 75 in all sections of HESI. Not just sciences but Vocabulary, grammar, Math, and others as well. And you only get 2 tries. I took my HESI there first and got an 87.5. I also had my AP1 and Micro classes done as well as that complete 2 yrs of degree plan. So I would have walked straight into nursing classes. Also, the cost there for a BSN is near 80k...unless you want that much debt as I have explained there are easier ways to get credit before you go there for the core nursing classes and clinicals. The HESI is first step you're not accepted after that. If you've ever had any misdemeanor or felony or major traffic violation in those categories, forget it they won't accept you. Advisors won't tell you all this cause they make money for the college. My mother worked for them for yrs.....

Moved to Hesi exam

move to hesi ?

l took all my prerequisites already

I attend Chamberlain in Michigan. Just because you get a 75 doesn't guarantee you'll get in the program. Then you have 4 A+P classes, micro, chemistry, and pathophysiology. Every nursing class after that includes patho. Also, the new degree plan has combined patho 1 and 2 into one class that is very hard. If science is not your strong suit I suggest taking the courses at a community college first, or get tutoring before taking the HESI again.

I advise you to get the Hesi study guide and study that in conjunction with the EZ A&P guide which can be purchased at Barnes and Nobles! Like they said if you get a 75 on Hesi is Does NOT mean your automatically accepted into the program! They look at all your past schooling GPA and everything. Just be prepared. I also tell anyone if your planning on attending Chamberlain PLEASE TAKE YOUR PRE REQS ELSE WHERE BEFORE TRANSFERRING YOUR BSN WILL BE SO MUCH MORE CHEAPER!!!!!

Since when do for-profit schools have standards that would bar anyone from being accepted. If you're dead set about going to this school you should know you will graduate, if you graduate, with about $100, 000 of debt. That is an insane amount of money for a nursing degree. The community college route is the only sane way to go about this. Have no regrets and go the least expensive way possible so you avoid the stigma of debt peonage. That condition is a fate.... Your blatant desperation to get into nursing school at any cost, despite the cost, Is what the for-profits love to exploit.

Chamberlain is a private school first and for most!!!!!!! Let's clarify that from the beginning!!! So essentially they can charge you whatever they want! Secondly I've stated that if you go about taking your pre requisites at a community college and transfer them to the chamberlain your degree in nursing will not be the mentioned $80k or even $100k. Chamberlain here in Houston did extremely better than the local state school on nclex and is accredited recieving a 90+% pass rate on the last testing session with I believe upwards of 75 students taking the nclex. Chamberlain is a Great school has great professors and great experience so far. They do exactly what the motto says "Extraordinary nurses extraordinary care!!!!!!!" Don't be discouraged by the slander that people post on here about the school! I'm about to graduate from chamberlain with no complaints thus far!!!!! Follow your dreams!! I could of been at any other school but I was drawn to chamberlain because of the smaller class sizes and the level of knowledge the professors offer you!!!

thank you so much I took the test again and passed now I have to write a letter, l didn't finish my entire test and pray they let me in the school. My goal is a 3.7. l know going to get in

What about if you took acouple pre requisites ? Would you be able to get in and at your 1st yr of chamberlain can you take a prereq and a nursing class with it?
