I am having a problem figuring out how to Private message--want to reply to some nurses who have PM'd me!!
Am in the process of getting accepted to chamberlain (BSN and then MSN!) I understand I will have to write a bunch of papers. I did this in 1994 for the NP degree at U of Px.
But I forget about APA format? In fact,I believe my study group gave our stuff to a typist and she put it into APA format for us! I am a good writer, not so good at the footnote thing.
Do the papers for Chamberlain have to be in APA? Is there a program I can buy for my MACBOOK to do this for me??
or--did most of you have someone else type the papers??
HELP!:wink2:

As for your question I'm not sure. I'll probably ask you question after you get rolling with Chamberlain, as I am considering them for my BS.
But I wanted to ask about the statement above. If you are an NP, or even worked on any part of that degree, what would you be getting a BSN now? Just curious.

You now have 15 posts to your credit and should therefore be able to use the PM function now.

Yes, you will need to write and submit your papers in APA format. I purchased the APA handbook, an essential resource. I also purchased the APA formatting software but found it a bit cumbersome to use. Honestly, once you write a couple of papers in APA you are pretty much set. One of my instructors provided a link to a web site with APA information as well as a template that could be purchased for $3.00 I think. It's at http://www.drgwen.com/

I downloaded stylease-it cost $35. For the most part it is not difficult to use. Very helpful with references. My problem is I am a terrible typist so I paid a typist to do my papers so I was not able to use much of my stylease.
