chamberlain Nursing Houston campus

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

I am currently working on my application at chamberlain school of nursing Houston center. I would like to know more information about the Hesi A2 and what to really focus on. I also want to know how is the program and current student info? please answer to help those who are confused like me. Thanks

Friends, I have a huge question and really need some input from those who were accepted to the program recently.

I just got out of the HESI exam and talked to my advisor. Now the waiting game begins. The admission committee meets Friday, but my advisor said that she can't get my documents ready in time for it so I'll have to be reviewed for the next sitting in two weeks. The downside of all this is I have a flight overseas for medical and family purposes that require me to be there for 2 months and won't be back till mid-August. Although if I get accepted I'll return to the states asap and hopefully finish everything and go back and stay in Europe up until classes start. But I need a ETA. How long did paperwork; transcript evaluation; financial aid; class registration; background check; and fingerprinting take? Are these things achievable in a week or so? Or would I have to be here the whole summer to complete them?

From your experience how long did it take you to complete this process?

I am not sure if it is possible in a week. if you are going to chamberlain they require you to get an actual blue card for the finger printing. and that can take up to 2 weeks to be mailed to you. (however i believe that unless you were told otherwise fingerprinting is due week 8.) I would recommend calling up your advisor and telling her about everything in regards to your vacation.

good luck!

I was in my advisor's office today, but she wasn't helpful at all. It's impossible to get a hold of her by just calling. Could I get the fingerprinting done now even though I don't know whether or not I'll be accepted.

yes you could definitely do your finger printing now! and remember you must request your blue card to be mailed to you! :)

Thanks htown! I'll look into getting that done and out of the way :)

Also, where did you get your fingerprinting done? IdentGO? Do you also remember under what reason/heading did you set your appointment for; don't know whether that matters or not.

yes I used an identGo in pearland but since i went during school chamberlain had sent my name to the board of nursing so they had the reason for my appointment. so ib think it was different:/ (sorry that probably hard tounderstand I don't know how to explain lol but for a reason I would put for board of nursing otherwise you could contact chamberlain and ask them to send your name to the board of nursing now so you can get ur fingerprints early. I hope this made some sense:/

Yeah, it does. My best bet would to give them a call and ask like you suggested.

yea I think so too just in case!

Hi I am interested in the nursing program but found it to be quite pricey do you get any financial aid? about how much do you have to pay out of pocket? thanks

Specializes in CMSRN.

Yes, If you are eligible for financial aid and loans they are available as well as applying for scholarships. They amount we pay will be dependent on how much financial aid you are eligible
