Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello all,

i rencently went went to the very shiny and new chamberlain college college opening up in summer lib, nv. I really really really want to join their new ban program. They have a class starting in jan 2015 but all transcripts and testing has to be done by dec 7. I know I don't have enough time so I'm going to try for the May class. I have all pre-req's done except for the Econ and chemistry.

Is there anyone here that will be applying for the brand new school? If so what month? How much will be left out of the 89,000 with all pre-req's done? I'm so excited to start it's been a long time coming and I've been working on my pre-req's since 2010! Glad to be done and one step closer to my dream career,

Im finishing up most of my prereqs this summer. If they accept all my credits I will only have 3 non nursing classes during my program. I have a really good GPA and plan on studying for my HESI to secure a spot in the program. I went to the open house and I keep in contact with an advisor and I really like the campus and program! The only thing im waiting on is for them to get their VA benefits and then I will start. Im really excited!

Congratulations! It's a really good program.

Hi!

Im planning on applying for the fall program for chamberlain, if you dont mind me asking how much are you paying? Because, im actually in the same boat you were in. I have all the pre reqs done for school but, how much of that actually made a difference? Im just trying to do more research before making such a big decision, especially with money. Thank you for your time.

I graduated from Chamberlain College of Nursing (another campus), and my daughter is in their inaugural class in Las Vegas. All I can say is that the Las Vegas campus is amazing. Chamberlain provides an amazing education, and you will not be sorry! They took all of my transfer credits when I attended, and they took all of my daughter's transfer credits as well.

I am currently trying to figure out whether or not I can afford to move forward with a masters program, and if I work it out, I can pretty much guarantee I will attend Chamberlain once again.

I am so glad to hear such positive reviews of Chamberlin. I went to the orientation about a month ago (Las Vegas) and took the HESI A2 last week and passed. I have all my documents in and will hear back next week if I get in or not. I was most happy about the fact that they will take most of my credits that I have been taking at another college. The campus is clean and in a good area. The technology that they use, we currently use in our hospital facilities (I work in the IT dept.) so they are very up to date. I am keeping my fingers crossed to get in. I am so nervous because I have been waiting for this moment so long.... I wish I could find out quicker LOL.

Hi everyone I need some advice regarding HESI. I'll be taking the HESI exam in few days and I'm really nervous. Is the test really hard like the TEAS exam? And what is the passing score for HESI at Chamberlain? I heard they don't include the Science portion, is this true? Thank you. I appreciate it.

I have not taken the TEAS but have taken the Kaplan and that is very hard. I scored an 86% on the HESI and I am on the waiting list because I didn't make first draft pick (basically). I think the passing score is 75% but ask Liane Cammack she is an Admissions Counselor and is very helpful and quick to respond to emails even if you don't reach her by phone. They do take all science except I think Physics, but the rest is on there.

Hi queenlyblessed,

I am taking the HESI in few days and I haven't study yet and I'm really nervous. Is the exam hard? How long did you study? I took the TEAS before and is really hard. W/c book or website would you recommend? And I heard they don't include SCIENCE portion in overall, is this true? And what is your score on HESI if you don't mind me asking? One last question what is the passing score? Thank you so much.

Does anyone know if Chamberlain takes TEAS scores too? Or they just strictly accept HESI scores?

Hi,

Not sure if this thread is still active, but Chamberlain only does HESI. I took both and I find that the HESI was a lot easier, especially compared to the new TEAS ATI. I got accepted into the program and will start this Fall 2017 :)

Hi,

How is the program going so far? Have you graduated? Any opinion on how the program is doing for you? I am starting this Fall at the LV campus.

Hi Everyone,

I got accepted into the program this Fall 2017 at the LV campus. Feel free to leave any questions or comments and i'll be happy to assist regarding any of the admission process. So far my advisor has been great, I also have had an enrollment appointment and have an idea of what's to be expected. Goodluck!
