They have made changes, and not for the better. In my Epidemiology class, our midterm was 30 questions and we had 60 minutes to complete the exam, with 6 of the questions being essay questions! It was nearly impossible to complete before the exam timed out. I just barely made it before the time limit was up. The worst part is that they changed to a new databank of questions which the instructors have no way to access. Every student gets different questions. Unfortunately, this means that the instructors have no idea what is going to be on the exam. We did the assigned lessons, read the assigned chapters, did the questions at the end of each chapter, plus the study guide. I even did the statistical problems in the optional CDC guide to prep for the exam. Not a single person in my class passed the exam. The class average was a 38! I scored a 60 (which is failing, has to be 80% or higher). Dropped my A to a C+ since the midterm is worth 10% of your grade.

After hearing from the other classes that NO ONE passed the exam, we figured Chamberlain would correct the issue. They decided to wait until Week 6 (a week before the final exam!) to make a decision on what to do about the grades. That "magically" coincides with getting a 0% refund for dropping the class....shady!

I decided it was better to cut my losses now and transfer to another school while I still have a passing grade. So, I withdrew from Epi. I just got confirmation that I will have "withdrawn - passing" on my transcript. I had my transcripts sent before I withdrew. I will only be able to transfer 9 of the 18 credits I've completed :(

And from what I'm hearing from students in the other FNP courses, they are having similar issues. So, caveat emptor! I'm leaving Chamberlain for another school. Such a shame, because I finished my BSN with them. Ever since I started the FNP program, they've made change after change after change....none of it for the better.

Is the program really that bad?í ½í¸“ I would have to reconsider then. Did everyone have these types of experiences ?
