I know a couple people who are students at Chamberlain. Really any "pay to play" nursing school runs the risk of having a bad reputation to hiring managers. I have heard (regarding the Jacksonville, FL campus) that they have inexperienced staff and a mediocre program. That being said, they are accredited and their NCLEX pass rate for 2014 was 83%.

That's a lousy NCLEX pass rate. In any of the states I've practiced in over the years, that would get a school in serious trouble with the BON (i.e., they would be looking at getting shut down). FL relaxed its standards for nursing schools a few years ago, so I guess maybe programs that would be considered substandard in the rest of the country can keep operating in FL.

I agree that it's not a great pass rate, but it's technically above 80%, which is the Florida standard if I'm not mistaken.
