IMO, you'd be better off going the community college route. If you're in Arlington, that'd be NVCC. Excellent NCLX pass rate. Plus, you'd save a ton of $$$, and job prospects after graduation are MUCH better.
Why are the job prospects after graduation better for an associates program than a BSN?
Hi everyone,So I applied to Chamberlain (Arlington, Virginia) and I was told my gpa was a little low (2.744) and was advised to write a letter to the commitee. The commitee was to review their applications on May 2 and I still have not heard back from my advisor. At this point I am getting worried. I was just wondering if anyone has ever gotten rejected from chamberlain and if they were able to reapply.
Hi jennyj1991! If you don't mind me asking, what score did you get on the HESI exam? I'm kind of on the same boat with you on the GPA and really nervous about getting rejected as well
I attend NVCC right now just for my general ed and I'm always at the medical campus talking to the students, instructors, and deans and like someone else said, with that GPA it would be hard to even get in their program. They are VERY competitive. And with them you have to take the TEAS not HESI so you would also need to take that as well. Your best bet would be to take some classes at NVCC like pre reqs to boost your GPA. That way if you still want to apply to Chamberlain you will ahve knocked out some courses off their Course list and gotten a better GPA to get accepted.
