Hello
I have just completed an LVN program at Summit and in SCAL. I went through All 4 Terms . A's and B's. A little upset that i was termed from the program for not passing the hesi. i was not able to walk with my class this past october. Dont get a diploma and dont even get a Certificate of completion after all that in the 22 month program. its totally not right and not fair. But im trying to move forward and got my packet together with the completion of hours they gave me. i worked hard to keep my grade point average up/ good attendance, but just got done wrong. i was so looking forward to graduating...it was terrible the way they did some of us there.
Any Advice as to how to stay focus. im scared to challenge the board , technically by Summits words "that i failed" Is on my mind. my papers are received and I am waiting for an "ATT"
What can ease my way of thinking.? study habits free question guides anything wold help.

I don't understand, if you're getting an ATT why do you have to challenge the board?
Will your state allow you to sit for the exam but not give you a license if you pass the NCLEX because you failed the HESI at school?

That has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. I don't know why schools are requiring for you to pass the HESI in order to pass their program. That darn HESI exam focuses on every subject. There are some subjects that isn't touched in nursing school. To make a student reponsible for material that was never covered is just rediculous. Did you know that you can complain to the state board? I hope you're in California because they will do an investigation almost immediate after you phone them with your complaint. Whether it's legitinate in their eyes or not isn't the issue, they will still conduct an investigation. Good Luck

Were you given the school code to register for your ATT? If so, the Board considers that you completed the program. Call the Board and ask to speak to the evaluation unit.
