I am currently licensed as a psychiatric technician and have been for 7 years working in acrute and state psychiatric hospitals. I recently was in an RN program, however, I have to retake the last semester. Due to the circumstances of my program I will be out of school for about a year before I can re-enroll. I wanted to take a refresher course in the meantime, but the programs require current LVN licensure. Will my work experience in psychiatric hospitals as a Psych Tech, along with my schooling in the RN program be sufficient to allow me to challenge the boards to take the LVN NCLEX?
