Hello guys. On the Influenza/flu vaccination. On castlebranch they have a drop down form you can print and compete. I went to Walgreens and Safeway last 3 weeks they told me they doses are not in for the season yet.

Has anyone completed the Influenza vaccination and are they available in hospitals. Thanks

Has anyone been able to purchase books from college website yet?

does anyone have any information on the workshops they have before applying for example the multicriteria screening states that they give 20 points for TEAS but does not specify what score range earns those 20 pts , would appreciate if I could receive this sort of information , thank you guys.

Hi!
I am not 100% sure but I think you just have to pass with a 62% or higher to qualify for the 20 points. You can always call/email the school to confirm! Or if you haven't attended a meeting, that would be a great time for any questions you may have!
good luck!!

I got in Chabot program. It's 62% minimum to be eligible for application. So a score of TEAS 90-100% you will get all 20 points. A score of 80-90% 15 points. 70-80% 10 points. Then btn 62-70% 5 points. The more points you get the better for u to get selected in program. Very competitive. Hope this helps. Good luck to all!

If you're considering the nursing program at Chabot College in Hayward, CA — please do your research and think twice.

Yes, the program boasts a 95–100% NCLEX pass rate, but what they don't tell you is that this is likely because they remove or fail nearly half the class before graduation. The Class of 2025 started with 39 students and only 20 graduated. That's a 49% attrition rate — and it's not because people aren't trying.

Here's what you should know:

Grading is inconsistent and subjective. What passes with one instructor may fail with another.

Favoritism and bias are real. Some students are given second chances — others are written off.

There is minimal support if you're struggling. Instead of help, many get shown the door.

Faculty communication and expectations are unclear. This creates confusion and stress.

The program creates a culture of fear and silence, where students are afraid to advocate for themselves.

I'm not saying nursing school should be easy — but it should be fair, transparent, and supportive. Chabot doesn't seem to be any of those things right now.

If you're serious about becoming a nurse, look into other local programs like CSU East Bay, Merritt, Ohlone, or even private options if cost allows. Don't waste your time, money, and mental health on a program that seems more focused on protecting its stats than its students.
