Chabot College 2015-2016 application

Published

Hi, everyone!

Has anyone heard anything from Chabot regarding acceptance letters/emails? I decided to start this thread so we can keep each other informed.

Thanks :)

Congrats! I am accepted as well and also did my classes there as well. I applied to ohlone too but I am #9 on the alternate spring list so I definitely am going to chabot. I've heard a lot of good things about ohlone. I was going to choose it over chabot, but now talking to someone I heard good things about chabot too so I'm excited. If you choose chabot let's definitely exchange numbers. I want to get to know people for support! Congrats again.

And there was an ohlone board people were talking on. I think the only person who got in wasn't going to attend though.

Hi Summer. Check the posts on this website, Chabot vs. Ohlone. got into Evergreen in San Jose and am an alternate for Chabot and I also did all my prerequisites at Chabot. So for me I'm hoping for Chabot because it is much closer to me and I already know this school.

Thank you! Congrats to you! So exciting! I saw there was an Ohlone board, and I created a threat but no one ever responded! I heard good things about both. So it is hard for me to choose! I want to get with good people! So I don't want to regret my decision on which to choose! I am familiar with Chabot and took all my prereqs there! So I don't know! I need help and advice! And I really want to get with good people to help support and study with each other! I never thought I would be able to choose which one! Good luck to everyone! I hope you get in!

I applied to Chabot, Ohlone and East Bay. I didn't even get on the waiting list for East Bay. I was looking at those boards. I think it all depends on the group you get. I heard they are both good programs. Just was wondering what people's preference were. Who is you guys have for physio at Chabot?

I didn't get into east bay either! But did you see the board? People literally had 4.0s and 99s on the teas. I was like omg!! Lol. I am super excited about chabot! Awesome you get to choose. I also applied to saddleback in Orange County and I think I'll probably get in so I'll have to turn that one down. For physiology I had dr. z last summer! It was so intense because it was the 6 week course and he's pretty hard. Who did you guys have?

What did u guys get on ur teas.

Since I had to submit my first score not best I got in with only a 79. Hopefully that gives you hope!!!!

But I had a 3.9 and a 94 on my teas and didn't get into east bay or sf state

I did see the East Bay boards and I figured there was no way! This is my second time in college after a 10 year break, and I was told it would be hard to get into the nursing program because I had to repeat anatomy. So I am so totally shocked and happy I got into two programs I applied for! Since I have been back I got 4.0 in all prereqs. But my overall gpa wasn't strong and I repeated anatomy! I had Dr. Z for physio too! I can't believe you took it for the summer! That had to be intense! I thought it was hard enough for the semester. I took it this past fall! I got 77% on my TEAS. I was reading on the boards of people getting 80%-90% and it was freaking me out about getting in. I was thinking I would have to retake it, even though Chabot only takes the first attempt. I took it back in Dec. and I didn't prepare as much as I should have for it!

That is awesome! I'm kind of older too. (Turning 26) I am also a single mom of an almost 4 year old but everyone is well prepared for me to start this!! I was shocked too because i looked back and saw the same thing! I didn't study the first time either but totally did well the second. I was so upset they took the first score. I'm glad you got in. Hopefully we will be in class together.

That is so awesome you did good the second time! I wasn't prepared at all! I am mad I didn't study more! 26 is young! I am about to turn 32! I am a single mom too, with a 6 year old daughter! Everyone is prepared for me to start to, hopefully! :) Are you working? I have a job right now but I am thinking there is no way I can do both. I am so happy to get into a program the first time around, I heard so much about how it took people several years to get into schools, and they had to do private. I am so happy for you that you got in! I hope we are in the program together too!!
