  1. I know no one I met is in this program! I was fortunate to meet a lot of really great people to study with! I hope to do the same in nursing! I had to already do my background check and drug test for Ohlone so I didn't loose my spot. I was originally in for spring semester but I was #24 and they called me the same day I got my email asking me to do the Fall semester. I have heard great things from both programs. And I was leaning more towards Ohlone even if I got into Chabot. But now that I finally received my acceptance in Chabot it is so hard for me to choose! I am for sure going to the orientation and the CPR. This is so hard! I never thought I would be in a position to choose, especially from what I was hearing over the semesters, how I would have a hard time getting in with repeating a prereq science! I am so happy for you that you got in! And I would love to exchange numbers to help and support each other during the semester. I think I have to really research and make the right decision! It's so hard! I hope everyone gets their letters tomorrow! I had been checking my mailbox frantically for the last week! Good luck to all!
  2. I only work 2-3 days a week. But I might only work 2-3 days a month while in the nursing program. I was just curious if people were able to continue to do a little and still do well. I know both programs advise not to work at all!
  3. Wow 94 on the second one! That is so awesome!! 3.9 is so good too! We do have a lot in common! I hadn't applied to any private schools because I was thinking I could never afford it and was wanting to get into a community college program to save money and get financial aid and then to the bridge to East Bay for my BSN. If I didn't get in this year, I was also just going to go to East Bay for my bachelor's and then keep applying. One of my good friends I met while doing my prereqs had a 4.0 with 84% on her TEAS and got on the waiting list for East Bay. Such tough competition it is crazy! I did really good going back to school, and was fortunate to meet a lot of really great people who wanted to help each other and support each other through the process and I am so hoping to find that in nursing school!
  4. That is so awesome you did good the second time! I wasn't prepared at all! I am mad I didn't study more! 26 is young! I am about to turn 32! I am a single mom too, with a 6 year old daughter! Everyone is prepared for me to start to, hopefully! :) Are you working? I have a job right now but I am thinking there is no way I can do both. I am so happy to get into a program the first time around, I heard so much about how it took people several years to get into schools, and they had to do private. I am so happy for you that you got in! I hope we are in the program together too!!
  5. I did see the East Bay boards and I figured there was no way! This is my second time in college after a 10 year break, and I was told it would be hard to get into the nursing program because I had to repeat anatomy. So I am so totally shocked and happy I got into two programs I applied for! Since I have been back I got 4.0 in all prereqs. But my overall gpa wasn't strong and I repeated anatomy! I had Dr. Z for physio too! I can't believe you took it for the summer! That had to be intense! I thought it was hard enough for the semester. I took it this past fall! I got 77% on my TEAS. I was reading on the boards of people getting 80%-90% and it was freaking me out about getting in. I was thinking I would have to retake it, even though Chabot only takes the first attempt. I took it back in Dec. and I didn't prepare as much as I should have for it!
  6. I applied to Chabot, Ohlone and East Bay. I didn't even get on the waiting list for East Bay. I was looking at those boards. I think it all depends on the group you get. I heard they are both good programs. Just was wondering what people's preference were. Who is you guys have for physio at Chabot?
  7. Thank you! Congrats to you! So exciting! I saw there was an Ohlone board, and I created a threat but no one ever responded! I heard good things about both. So it is hard for me to choose! I want to get with good people! So I don't want to regret my decision on which to choose! I am familiar with Chabot and took all my prereqs there! So I don't know! I need help and advice! And I really want to get with good people to help support and study with each other! I never thought I would be able to choose which one! Good luck to everyone! I hope you get in!
  8. Hi Everyone! My name is Summer, I just got my letter of acceptance for Chabot nursing program! I am so excited! I also got into Ohlone. I am so excited for both. I am not sure which one to choose. Has anyone heard about either program? I have been at Chabot/Las Positas for my prerequisites. I don't know which one to choose if anyone has any advice! I would love to study with all of you! I posted about Ohlone and no one ever commented! I want to get with a good group to study with, and be in the program with! I hope you all get in! :)
  9. Hi Everyone! I am in for fall semester 2015! So excited! Who else is in? Where have you all applied? I applied to Chabot and CSUEB but haven't heard back from those yet!
