Hello everyone,
I am new to this site and am looking for some assistance with the VisaScreen process through CGFNS. I recently passed the NCLEX-RN, applied through Minnesota BON as I previously wrote the CRNE back in 2013. I completed the BSN program here in BC and have worked in the ER for the past 4 years.
I know that CGFNS is a daunting process but need clarity to prevent further delays with this process. Also, there is no proper communication to connect with anyone at CGFNS. My ultimate goal is to do travel nursing in WA, OR, NV, NY, HI, and potentially settle in California.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

You only need CGFNS CES if Minnesota BON requires you to. Did you apply license by exam and wrote NCLEX with Minnesota BON?
Quote How will CGFNS know that I passed the NCLEX-RN if I applied through Minnesota?

Did Minnesota BON give you RN license yet? I wonder if the Minnesota Verification of license form has the info (similar to College of Nursing of Ontario) that you passed NCLEX then you can send that to CGFNS. Or if there is other way then good.

I applied and wrote my NCLEX-RN through Minnesota BON and they posted my license as 'active'. Pearson Vue, however, still has 'taken' as the status for my NCLEX result. What I did is that I added my Minnesota license in my CGFNS profile and am now waiting for a form, so that I can send it over to Minnesota BON. They will then complete the form and forward it to CGFNS. So far, no one from CGFNS or Minnesota BON indicated that I need to obtain a CES in addition to my VisaScreen.

If MN didn't ask you for CES in the first place (RN by exam), they won't ask you it further either. However, if you try to endorse to other states, then it's up to those BON. (e.g. NY used CVS, not CES.)
Anyway, if you are Canadian, TN visa is easier because there is no hassle for the employer too as long as you don't wish to immigrate.
(TN-visa is non-immigrant purpose, but easy to extend every 3 years for Canadians.)
H1B needs a sponsorship from your employer and since it involves more documents with US immigration department, it's more hassle unless your employer is eager to sponsor you.
