cgfns visa screen problems

Hello I did my Pcl nursing from Nepal and moved to USA and did my nclexRN from kansas state and passed it and now i moved to louisiana state so for endorsement of my license i need cgfns visa screen to be done and as i did that it says:

After a review of your education from TRIBHUVAN UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE, BIRATNAGAR , it was determined that your education does not currently meet the requirements of the program.

Not comparable program in the United States as the

applicant completed a total of thirteen years of primary,

secondary and nursing education. However, the

professional qualification that this program leads to is that

of a first-level general registered nurse in Nepal.

If you wish to continue to pursue CGFNS/ICHP VisaScreen® certification, you must fulfill the educational requirement by obtaining further education . In order to fulfill this requirement, please read the enclosed notice titled Steps to Completing the CGFNS Education Requirement.

what am i supposed to do now...please help....

Thank you so much for response.Yes i contacted to State board of nursing they say that if the education is deficient they will not issue my license.I have job interview lined up for next week thinking everything will go as planned as i have everything done i.e passed NCLEX RN,met Ielts requirement.I never imagined i would be asked to take entry level nursing course at the time when i am planning to do RN-BSN course.Has anyone gone through same phase?CAN i ask what is the minimal requirement for visa screen?And Can i now request my original license college to send additional hours for its fulfillment??

Guys you wont believe what reply i got from CGFNS..They said me to do HISET exam for meeting the requirement.thats funny .This made me fully mad and was horribly upsetting.Anyway Thank you guys for your response and trying to help me...

Hi there,

I am also PCL nursing ( T. U.IOM)from nepal on the same boat waiting for visa screen . Were you finally able to get visa screen after submitting HISSET" or GED.?

Hi there

I am also stuck in a similar situation, I am a PCL Nurse from Nepal, did my CES ( where my high school requirements were checked and validated) from CGFNS for state of texas got approved of the requirements , gave my NCLEX and passed and issued a license, now while applying for Visa Screen they are saying my Secondary school certificate is missing they are asking for GED or high school certificate, but people who have done PCL know that the highest secondary school they attended is 10th Grade which is SLC before PCL, what should I do? I tried telling them that the requirement for PCL is that we have to pass 10th Grade in Nepal, and if it was not enought why did they approved me for NCLEX during my CES?

Please help me this is a lot of stress and confusing, my employer has already filled I 140 and I have submitted all my certificates to CGFNS but they are still saying that the requirement is deficient.

hello Ashish. I am samikshya. I also cleared the NCLEX exam.I am trying to file for the visascreen. I have also done PCL nursing . Did you find any  solution to the problem? Did you apply with your PCL degree or have you already done BN? Please please kindly reply to me . I also need advice regarding this .

Well yes it did get solved after I took my GED which is not that hard and my visa screen has been issued

WOW! Thats great to know. a huge congratulations to you. Do you think I will encounter the same problem? I have a BN degree and I had my BN certificates also evaluated by the cgfns. Will having a BN save me from this problem? what  do you think? I really need your advice.

You probably won’t however I think you have to mention your pcl as your higher secondary school while applying for visa screen my mother also had a Bn however her high school requirement was waived because she did her Bn like 20 years ago just sent them a message

By the way samikshya while applying for CES what did you put  as your higher secondary education ?

I am Manju parajuli. I am about to apply for NCLEX . If you can please kindly help me with your advice. 

I did my primary schooling from a different school and moved to a different school from grade 3. I don't have documents from previous school that is grade 1 and 2.  While applying for visascreen do they ask for all documents . do we have to submit character certificate as well for visascreen ? or Only the SLC certificate will suffice. 

currently I am filling the cgfns form and this thought crossed my mind. 

I really hope you help me with your advice.
