@riannegee Have you been licensed in another state here in the US? They (CGFNS) might not have a record because you didn’t sign up with them for your initial US licensure

hi, may I ask if you started again from the beginning like process your documents in your school and PRC?? I am also for re-evaluation. was suppose to re-apply for NCLEX RN here in HI but I received a letter from HI BON that they have no record of me from CGFNS.

Hello! I did not start again from the start. CGFNS only asked for my high school diploma.

Hello! I never provided any certificate of employment in CGFNS reevaluation. I just provided them my previous employment info. But in the hospital I got hired, the background check agency asked for my certificate of employment. So keep those stuff with you.

Thank you for the information. I just took the IELTS exam and waiting for the result. If I luckily get the required band score I can move forward with my CES re-evaluation.

Off topic, but I've read in your other post about your ER job offer. Have you already started? How was it?

Any tips in writing resumes or cover letter? What were the questions during the interview? Did they ask you about your employment gap and how did you present it in your resume? I'm not an ER nurse but your stories/post update inspired me that I can do it as well. I also came to the U.S on a K1 Visa and haven't had a job for a year now because of the immigration process along with its tons of paper works and I'm starting to get worried because of my employment gap. I am planning to transition and apply as a med/surg nurse.

I dont know how to give tips for resumes and cover letter because mine was just really plain and simple. No flowery words. You can always search templates online.

Yes, I got hired in two hospitals. I chose the one that I think was perfect for me. I am still on training. So far, all is good as of the moment.

I just told them the truth about why I did not have a job for a year. I explained all of it and I told them that while I was not working, I was studying to prepare myself in working as a nurse here.

Goodluck!
