No. She needs to follow the instructions from the Board of Nursing in Illinois and apply as a foreign grad via CGFNS for the initial RN licensure. She will go through CGFNS first before being able to be eligible to take NCLEX.

Ah, sorry I didn’t read the OP’s post right. I thought she was educated in the US and failed her NCLEX. Good to know the process is different for nurses from other countries.

You will not receive a RN license when you apply to CGFNS. They are just a part of the process. It is only once everything has been assessed and you pass NCLEX will you get confirmation that you meet requirements, not all states will issue a license unless you have a US SSN

Hi ,I am RN graduated in Bulgaria. I live in IL. Does anyone know which service I need to choose from CGFNS for credential evaluation service (CES) - RN Initial Licensure or RN Endorsement? Thank you very much!
