Hello everyone
We(me and my wife need a help)
My wife is a registered nurse(picu) in Israel.
We started the process of cgfns to New York and are in the final stages of the process(waiting for aproval)
At the same time we filed documents for immigration to Canada (Toronto or Halifax).
We have created order out of chaos:
Do we need to submit all its documents anew to NNAS or they recognize US cgfns in Canada?
Should I talk with nursing board in Ontario or Nova Scotia in Canada?
If my wife does the American nclex-rn test, this applies in Canada?
Do we need the organization's services WES If yes, why?
I very much appreciate your help
Thanks in advance

For Canada you have to go through NNAS before application to the college of RN's (CNO for Ontario and CRNNS for NS) Application process for registering in Canada is expensive so you really need to decide where you plan on living and working and then read the college's website. It will state on there if they will accept NCLEX if passed for the US
Thanks,
Before NNAS do we need IELTS result?
As per the NNAS website
[h=3]Will I require a language proficiency test? +[/h]Based on the information provided in the application form, NNAS will determine applicants that will require a language test to demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency in either English or French (depending on where an applicant is applying for registration).
Only the following agencies have been approved by NNAS for testing:
FAQ — NNAS / SNEI
Thanks a lot...
Just few last questions(if it's ok)
If I understand right, NNAS and cgfns are not recognize each other...
If someone know: which state in Canada most easier or less birocratic, NS or Ontario?

Both are provinces, not states. You need to look at the college of nursing to make your choice as requirements are similar throughout Canada

Hello everyone....somehow I just could not understand why World Education Services offer a quicker evaluation of the education credentials of IENS and it is taking NNAS longer even when all documents are with them already? It's quite frustrating. Furthermore, the board of nursing which IEN's need to apply for registration will have to do another evaluation? How can this expedite the application of IEN's?
It's not to expedite but to centralize assessments. The initial estimates for NNAS were 2 years.
I understand; however, why would it take CNO another 5 months or so to actually perform another assessment on the education credentials of IEN's. How many assessments do we need to undertake? Having been in continuous employment as an RN for 19 years in a specialized field and having passed both the nclex and the ielts make it all the more frustrating for me. Maybe I am just too keen to work in Canada
I think the big issue is that you are stuck since NNAS is so new and they are still working the kinks out of the system. I can only imagine your frustration as a credentialed experienced specialty nurse
