CGFNS eDAS California Reciprocity

Hi there everyone!

I'm actually new to allnurses, and I have been browsing through all the threads and this site has been really helpful! Thus, I would like to ask a question regarding my application for reciprocity in California.

I have purchased eDAS service by CGFNS (since I was evaluated before for Oregon) so they can forward my transcript to California BRN, I am complete with the checklist (such as the live scan and verification forms).--- My question is do I still need to do the "BREAKDOWN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL NURSING PROGRAMS" FORM, or the CGFNS eDas Service alone will suffice? :eek:

do not be surprised if CA require you to send everything as they do there own assessment so may not accept CGFNS

@Silverdragon102 hi thank you for the response! I didn't apply for CES but eDAS only from CGFNS, basically forwarding my transcripts and other verification forms to Cali BRN. But my concern is if I still have to send the "BREAKDOWN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL NURSING PROGRAMS" FORM from my Nursing School directly to CA BRN :(

I would suggest asking the BRN

You don't need the breakdown.. Hopefully you'll get accepted and give us an update.

Actually, CA BRN may still require a review of the breakdowns, as CGFNS does not take into consideration a fuller evaluation of the concurrency rules.

Did you pass the CA license yet? Could you give me about your status update. I'm applying for Ca BRN right now and thinking about purchase E-Das service from CGFNS to CA.

Hi! did California BRN accept EDAS documents from cgfns? thank you! i was thinking of doing that instead of getting all my transcripts again from my schools

Hi, I have exactly the same questions as OP (new to CA, RN on OR). I was wondering whether CA BRN accepted the eDAS documents? Getting answer to this question from either CGFNS or from BRN seems impossible.

Hi, I am also in the same situation. Did it work for you? Did it work for anyone?

I paid for eDAS, Nurses verify, CA BRN endorsement application and had my TOEFL results sent in. 440$ spent and 3 months of waiting to find out.

Add to that another 40$ for the school to fill out the course breakdown form. Potentially another 260$ for a certified translation of my course descriptions (if CA BRN asks for them). I'm at the 12-week mark, should be able to find out very soon.
