Submitted my application in March 2015. As of September 2015 my application status was ready for submission. Does anyone know how much time it will take before it gets submitted to the new york board of nursing? And how much NY Bon takes time for them to get you eligible? I really wanted to take the exam before the year ends, been self reviewing since march 2015. Im losing the momentum now.. :-(
did you send in your NYBON application yet? if your status is "Ready for submission", most likely it'll be another 2-4wks before they send it to NYSED. i was in your position too, anxious and impatient. but time will go fast your ATT will come soon.
yep, submitted my ny application form back in June. Just emailed NY bon to inquire if they received my application. Still awaiting response from them... btw, is there anyone from here who sign the waiver for child abuse and infection control training? I signed the waiver not to take the training.

The NYBON should have received your application by then. However, they won't process it until they receive your CGFNS CVS report. As soon as i saw "Report Sent" on my CGFNS application status, i waited 1 week and then email NYSED just to double check if they received it and they did. From there, it took about 7 weeks of waiting and then they sent me an email that I was approved.
Why did you waive your Child Abuse/Infection training?

I find it unnecessary as I wont be working in NY right away just incase I will pass the exam. And its costly, might as well take the training after passing the nclex heheheh. My friend also sign the waiver not to take the training ny still made her eligible. btw, are they going to send the eligibility thru email or by snail mail? thanks!

Yes, they'll send your eligibility BOTH through email (if you provided one on your application) and snail mail! I received the email a week before the snail mail came. The email stated that I was approved and to apply to Pearson Vue if I had not already. After paying Pearson Vue, they then sent me my ATT and I scheduled the day of. Email is faster. The letter came a week after (I'm guessing this is just for "proof of eligibility").
Hi,
this topic is a great idea.
I am a Canadian nurse:
sent in my paper work for my visa screen on April 1st and received by certification at the end of September.
Sent in my CVS on July 28th (along with all my paper work to the New York board of nursing) currently my status states: awaiting review/ awaiting approval.
I plan on doing travel nursing in New York city....right now I am patiently waiting for my new York nursing licence.
Will you updated on my status.

Just wanted to start a thread about those who applied for CGFNS CVS for New York this 2015, the current status, and maybe even questions to help one another out. =)
