World Registration

Published

I Paid 500 USD for my CES I got my CES report within 1 week. here is my CES report result, school- Comparable to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the United States

license- comparable to the registration of a first-level general (registered) nurse in the United States.is this a positive result? does it mean that the Oregon BON will make me eligible to take the NCLEX? hoping for your response. thank you and more power.

does anyone here who has the same CES result as mine got the approval from the BON and had their ATT?

Me. :) But, please note that it's not just the CES that you need. You also need to submit proof of English proficiency, the 960-hour proof of work experience (or at least in my case they asked for it) and whatever other requirement they would ask of you. Only then will they declare you eligible to sit the exam.

I haven't submitted my English Proficiency report to them, they still require that english test? so about that 960 hours nsg history, I am a new RN but I just put my volunteer experience to that form, do you think it is enough? DID you have that 960 hours nsg experience?

If you took your BSN outside of the US, then I believe Proof of Language Proficiency is a requirement. You can find the info here: http://www.oregon.gov/OSBN/pdfs/form/non-US_RN-LPNexam.pdf

I do have the required work experience. I just sent them my certificate of employment as proof.

What I am not sure of is if they'd accept volunteer experience or not. As suggested earlier, contact the OSBN and ask them. It would be better to have first-hand info. Who knows? They might not require that of you.

Have you started your application with OSBN? Or did you only have your credentials evaluated by CGFNS?

yes, I already submitted my application to the OSBN last two weeks ago, and they sent me a letter last week about my other requirements, which Is my CES, SSN, and nursing history form. but then they haven't ask for the English test. should I send an English report to them even if it is not included in the letter? how long did you wait for the response of the OSBN that you are eligible to take the NCLEX?

The best thing to do is ask them. We can only speculate. Based on their instructions, documents that would support your Proof of English Language Proficiency are:

1. Language of Instruction form completed by your school.

2. Documentation of nursing practice in English.

3. Demonstration of English proficiency. (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)

So if you submitted any of those along with your application, then you're good to go. Did you?

Do you have your SSN?

As soon as they received all of my requirements, they declared me eligible. So I got my ATT the same day.

I was supposed to send my TOEFL report the same day that I sent my application. but then there was a problem in the order process. probably I will send it to them today it's just 18$anyways :) the OSBN will give you a response of approval, right? my mom does want me to pay to the pearson vue because she wanted a proof.:banghead: after you completed all the requirements, when did the OSBN sent you the letter of approval?

Did your school complete the Language of Instruction form? Was it sent along with your education records (TOR, diploma, etc.) to either CGFNS or OSBN? If you did, maybe that's the reason why OSBN is no longer requiring you to submit further proof of English language proficiency. :)

If I am not mistaken, if you are going to send your TOEFL results, you can't send it yourself. You're supposed to request TOEFL to send it to OSBN on your behalf.

The OSBN won't send you an approval notice. But if you'd ask them, they'll tell you whether you can already register with Pearson Vue. So maybe you could do that. :)

In your other single posting you mentioned that your denial was due to being pass the 3rd year from the graduation date. So is it also due to having no experience as well? Please clarify!

sorry if i mislead you.. yes, I don't have an experience and they said that I graduated for 3 years already. OSBN said that they can accept me if I will not pass the 3rd year from the time I graduated. so I submitted my application to them last march, but the result I got denied because they still want my experience and I pass the 3rd year.
