CEU requirements for nurses and NPs

Just thought I would mention, in case anyone has not seen the VA BON site or gotten email, there are going to be requirements for CEUs to be done in VA. Virginia was one of the few states that did not have the requirements in place. But, it will be mandatory soon. I think it goes into specifics on the VA BON site.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

So, per section A.1., it looks like maintaining my CEN and CPEN will cover me for CEUs ("specialty certification by a national certifying organization"). Neato! :D
