Ces Over Cp Certificate On Washington State Licensure???

Published

hi! this is my first time to post a thread here, but i have been a longtime allnurses fan since i discovered the site for a year now.

i am a licensed philippine registered nurse. i wish to apply for licensure in washington state. and i have a few question and are as follows.

1.dated july 12, news on cgfns webpage says that the washington state health commission will require foriegn nurses to have ces course-by-course evaluation.question: does this mean that we dont have to take the cgfns exam anymore? pls correct me if i'm wrong.

2. what would be the implication in relation to my wanting to be licensed in wa state if my entry to the us is thru fiancee visa? i wonder if i would be exempt with the cp and elts certificate in relation to my wish to practice as a licensed wa rn.

thank you for giving your time in answering my concerns and questions. :)

Ohh, THANK YOU so much to both of you Lawrence and Silverdragon for the prompt response and clarification. I can sleep with a smile now knowing i dnt have to go through another "challenge" anymore--- that is, taking the CGFNS exam. You'd been so very helpful to me here .. More Power! :)
