Specialties CRNA

Hi Everyone. I was wanting to know if someone could tell me any good websites that gives good detailed information on CRNA's and what a day in the life of one is like? Or what the day in the life of a student is like. I saw on here one time that someone on this site had a homepage with pictures and stuff and it was really interesting, but I can't find it. Also are there any websites that tells where all CRNA's can work? I have a question on that one. Do CRNA's do epidurals? I have always wondered that. Thanks for the help.

Amanda

Specializes in ICU.

A good website to check is http://www.anesthesia-nursing.com. Hope this helps.

I tried the link, but it seems to be a broken link. Any advice?

For some reason the link from the page doesn't work. But do a google search for anesthesia nursing and it's the first page that pulls up.

ok thanks thrombus...okie dokie. for some reason I can never get a link to load so I just type it out.

Thanks. Great site and additional links.

GAstudent,

Yes, CRNAs do epidurals, but it depends on where you work. Generally, CRNAs can work in any setting where anesthesia is given.

You may want to check out : http://www.careers.iptv.org

It answers alot of questions concerning the CRNA field and it even has a short video documenting a 'day in the life'. I think it's a good start. You probably won't get the full effect until you shadow a CRNA on the job. Good Luck!:)
