Just wanted to get some quick advice.... Im getting ready to take the SEE exam in a month and dont know how to study for it! I'm a senior and with 40hours of clinicals a week, study for monthly tests already, writing papers, and doing research, Im just not sure how I can review!!!! My program requires you take the SEE exam and rank higher than the 50th percentile. Any suggestions???? Help please

I would recommend studying Valley materials. The SEE exam is very broad and very difficult if you don't study something. I would study a little everyday even if its 30 min before bed. Good luck.

My advice, dont sweat it!!! The SEE exam is just a tool for the schools to know where students stand in respect to other schools around the country. I didnt study AT ALL, like most of my classmates (NO TIME!!!) and we did fine, a few had to retake it, but SO WHAT?!?!?!!!. In fact, i thought the SEE exam was harder than boards. Just relax, dont worry about it, rely on your test taking skills, the SEE exam means nothing in the whole scheme of things.

What is see exam?

I went through the sweat book once (Valley review) and hit the 99th percentile.

The SEE is a self evaluation exam. Some of us had (or have) to take it, some not. We had to take it during our first clinical year, and during our second. None of us really studied, and were encouraged not to. That way you would know how well your are understanding and internalizing info at that point in the program. You have to get >50th %ile? Thats crazy! At valley they showed us a study and graphic plot of SEE scores vs. board scores for the same people and there was NO CORRELATION WHATSOEVER! Don't sweat it too much, unless you have to get a certain score :bluecry1: . I would just go in cold, maybe review a few key things your unsure about, but don't spend too much time on it, you don't have time to study.

Nathon,

It sounds like your school has you doing too much CRAP....maybe you should talk to your directors about that! Maybe you should stop spending so much time in the social scene in Worthington and focus on your schooling!!!! Kidding hun....see you in class on the 14th....go CARDIAC!
