Hello all,
I keep reading about having to submit "certified court papers" when I apply for RN licensure. I was wondering what is all included in those. The police report, or just the charges and outcomes?
I'm hoping that someone who has already gone through this can tell me from their own experience, how much information was handed over from the courts.
Thank you!!

The application for licensure by examination should detail the information they require, although the requirements and specific wording will vary from state to state, it has been my experience, that what they are after is the final disposition of the case.
I have a basic letter that I use when I request documentation from the court. In the first paragraph I list the date, what I was charged with, and where I appeared for trial. I also include a brief summary of the proceedings and outcome of the trial.
In the second paragraph I explain that I am applying for licensure as an RN and that the BON Is requesting certified documentation... Here, I copy and paste verbatim what the BON states on their website.
Best wishes as you work through this.
Thank you for the information!!
The only thing that I can find for my state (Pennsylvania), is that they contact applicants if additional information is needed after the BON receives the State police record's check.
The used to have more information on their website, but it has been taken down, so I am not sure if they still do things the same way.
