Hi! I'm 2005 graduate of a diploma nursing program with 13 years experience (med surg and wound care ). My hospital is merging with a system that uses a career ladder for raises ( more education = more money ). I'm not currently ready to pursue a BSN. Does anyone know of any online certifications /certificates that don't require a BSN or any classroom learning or clinical ? I've seen some wound care certifications that are on line but the cost seems outrageous and you have to retest every 2 years to maintain your certificate

Take a look at the Accepted Certifications.
The current list is here: https://www.nursingworld.org/~495780/globalassets/organizational-programs/magnet/magnet---nationalcertificationddct-20180313.xlsx.

Many ANCC certifications do not require a BSN. I got my psych-mental health cert as an ADN.

Check your specific employer. They should have a list of certs they will pay more for. I'm thinking there are no certs that require BSN. Hours in a particular specialty, yes. Passing a test, yes.
Wound Ostomy is a great cert to have, but yeah expensive and not easy to get.

Most certifications require ongoing education or retesting to prove ongoing competency. Most of them are several hundred dollars as well. One of my certifications costs about $1,000 to maintain.
