I got my letter today and was placed on the alternate list. Does anyone know the likelihood of alternates getting in?

I received my letter today and was chosen as an alternate for Cerritos college nursing. How many alternates do they have. Do u get to choose fall or spring ?

Hey everyone! I just recieved my letter in the mail today, looks like it was mailed out on May 6. I'm really sad to find out I was selected as an alternate, but I have yet to take my TEAS exam so that may have played a role, not sure. Now Im wondering what the likelihood is of being admitted after being placed on the alternate list. Also, One very confusing thing is that the letter states TEAS scores must be submitted by May 20, 2016, but the same letter states that the date and time scheduled for me to take the TEAS exam at Cerritos, is May 26, AFTER the deadline. I emailed the Health Occupations office, just waiting to hear back, I'll update once I do. Congratulations in advance to everyone who gets in!

I received my letter as well.. I wasn't chosen.. But my letter states if I'm still interested still in Cerritos, I can send in the same paper to be in the next draw for 2017-2018 without a new application.. Did anyone get that letter? Congratulations to everyone that did get in, and for the alternates as well!!

Yes, I got the same thing Nvargas; it meant we weren't chosen. Instead of reapplying next year, they keep our applications and will do the lottery again. Don't be sad. It is not about your grades, but it is all about your luck. My friend, his grades are worse than me, but he got in. Congrats who got in.

Greeting everyone,

I just received my letter today by mail and it says it was written on May 4th. I was accepted into the program for fall 2016 and the letter states that if one hasn't taken the TEAS yet, May 26th is the test date. However, if the TEAS have been taken already, those scores must be turned in by May 20th. Good luck to everyone else, can't wait to hear back from everyone that applied.

I received my denial letter today. But I was accepted to 2 other colleges in my area. It is very stressful applying to schools that are lottery based. I suggest that others apply at schools that are point based if you have the grades to do so. It sucks to work for great grades and then to get shut down based on a lottery. Good luck to all!
