Cerritos college nursing fall 2018

Published

Hello,

I was just wondering did anybody else apply to Cerritos College Nursing for Fall 2018? Do you guys have anything to share about the application, or application process, teas, or anything ?

Hey there future classmate í ½í¹‚

For, fall or spring? :)

For this fall or spring? :)

Hey there future classmate

Is it for this fall or spring? :)

Is it for this fall or spring? :)

spring 2019

I went to the orientation today, I am an alternate. Was really bummed out that I didn't get into Fall Cohort. They said that there's ~10 spots for Spring semester but I saw a lot of alternates there today so I am wondering if I even have a chance... Anyone else really discouraged now? :(

I was also at the orientation today and didn't get in for the fall. I hate the fact that they didn't announce who got in for the Spring. Seriously! Why keep us waiting even longer? Did you get the impression that everyone that didn't get into Fall will get into Spring? I didn't

There was like 50 something alternates based off the lists they had out.

I just wish we would have received more concrete information on the chances of getting in for the Spring. This waiting game is frustrating.

Are you sticking with Rio Hondo since their program starts this week?

Hey I just saw this, sorry!

I couldn't attend the orientation because the Rio program started already (on June 5), but they excused me and said they would keep in touch if I got in.

Rio Hondo is a great program so far, but Cerritos is just way more convenient for me.

If I somehow get into Cerritos, I'm dropping the RH program. Cerritos said that they add alternates into the program up until 2 weeks from the semester's start date (b/c of all the medical stuff you guys have to do and paperwork etc) but luckily I have all that done b/c I did everything for RH already, so I'm willing to wait & just go with the flow of my current program till then.

Crossing my fingers, although it seems like not that many alternates got in :(

Yeah; looks like its pretty competitive at this point but don't lose hope! People can still drop out/mess up with turning in documents and stuff. I really recommend the stand-by alternates to keep applying to other programs this Fall and do what you can to broaden your options at this point. Do you think if any Fall students drop last minute they'll let some people in?

When I asked how close to the semester they stop adding alternates, they told me about 2 weeks before. Because of all the documents, vaccines, castlebranch requirements, etc. You need at least 2 weeks minimum to get all that done.

That's what I was told
