I applied for Ventura and Moorpark with a 3.9 gpa, 87% teas, cna experience 700+ hours, and I'm bilingual. I got waitlisted for Ventura College and got put on the alternate for Moorpark. As for Moorpark College you're guaranteed a spot for either fall or spring.

did u have a bachelors already?

Is anyone here planning on getting any certifications before nursing school? I’m a phlebotomist, but was also thinking I’d certify for ecg/ekg or pharmacy tech to familiarize with other parts of the field that are relevant. Maybe an ACLS cert as well.

Does anyone know if nurses (bsn/msn) should know billing codes? I know nurses/drs can bill for diff things and before/after makes a diff depending on insurance plans.

I just want to be as well rounded as possible to hopefully score a student nursing gig. I’d like to specialize and earn an MSN as well. Maybe a dr in nursing to become a nurse anesthetist. I’m in my mid 30s so I suppose I don’t have much time to acrue and pay off debt so we’ll see.

This wait is killing me. I applied to several schools.

It sucks because if you applied to other schools in the area you will receive the denials/acceptances of those schools well before you receive the results from Cerritos :(

Just called and spoke to some lady in the office and she said they are working on the applications this week and that a lot of applicants applied this cycle. She said we "may find a nice surprise" at the end of this month, but who knows.

Hmmmm. . . .

Thank you for the update!

Its a relief that I’m not the only one who’s scared of waiting for the results. The longer the wait, the longer it makes me anxious and nervous. It really is competitive.

I’m glad you guys put up a thread in here for updates.

Hoping for the best! Goodluck to all of us.

Hi everyone wish you luck on your application. I’ve also called and was told that it’s till mid June before we hear anything from them. The wait is killing me cause I don’t think my teas score is even close to competitive.

Hey,

I feel the same. My score weren’t that high overall for the point system thats why I’m scared too. I didn’t wanna put my hopes up but still wishing though. Hope all of us could get in.

I checked the website it says if ever accepted, you would need to come in a mandatory orientation in June. But I guess they’ll move it if they mentioned results wouldn’t be there until mid-June?

Best of luck everyone.

What were your Teas scores if you dont mind me asking?

Hi guys, I also applied for fall 2019, option C which is the LVN-ADN bridge program. Anyone else doing that option? 3.7 GPA, 82% TEAS. Good luck to everyone, I haven't received anything in the mail yet. Not sure how it works for option C applicants.

Has anyone called them? To ask when we hear back?
