CEP apps with pending coursework?

U.S.A. Arizona

Hello all!! I am aware that some of the colleges accept your CEP application with some coursework still pending. I am curious if anyone has turned in their CEP app while still finishing their final co-reqs and been accepted for the following term start? I will be submitting my CEP app in May after my Spring grades post, but taking BIO 205 (my last co-req) during summer so it will be pending at the time of my submission...trying to give myself a little hope that I may get off the waiting list!!! Thanks!!

I had 3.6 GPA and 94 on HESI without any coursework to be completed and still didn't make the cut. Each application process is different, but the spring enrollment was pretty competitive. I doubt anyone made it the last enrollment with classes to be completed still.

Note: This is not to discourage you. But this is what happened with my experience. When I submit my application for this enrollment, I'll have bumped up my GPA to a 3.8 with an associate in science. My goal is to be as competitive as possible.

So, if you have courses to complete still, I would see if you qualify for AGEC to get an extra point during the application process.

Thank you!! I have already completed the AGEC, so maybe that will help...I think I am just frustrated and want the waiting game to be over :) Good luck to you!!!

Haha, I totally understand how you feel. Especially after not making it the last enrollment!

Hi!

I'm sorry you didn't make it in this last round! Which University did you apply to if you don't mind me asking?

The university accepted me. It was Maricopa in which I didn't make. I applied for Ottawa given the layout of their curriculum and cost. ASU would be my preference given the good things I've heard about their program, but considering the cost of ASU, I could not justify going to them. I didn't choose NAU because I didn't have the required humanity prereqs. However, this time around I'll include them.

Wow that makes me nervous! Do you know what gpa and test scores the people that for in had?

One of my friends at CGCC has a 3.8 and 100 on the hesi who made it in. Other than her, I don't know of anyone else.

My understanding is that you don't get as many points as you possibly could if you don't have all the prerequisites complete. Not that that should prevent you from applying! But it seems from everything I've read and heard about that standards are very high, so every point counts!!

Im sorry to the above poster who didn't get in with such great scores! That standard seems very high to me! I think the introduction of the CEP option has really upped the stakes as more and more people hear about it.
