Central Arizona College ?'s

I am considering going to this school since it is not too far from where I live. I am wondering how long the wait is? I am not a resident of Pinal County since I am just inside Maricopa County. So I am also concerned because I am not a resident that I will wait longer.

I understand that there is not a "waitlist" but I know that they can push back your admission a semester. If you have any recent experiences with applying at this school let me know. I appreciate any feedback though.

Thanks so much

Does it stand for Rio Salado..something, something??

Nope.

I completed the CNA course at CAC and just a little note that I didnt see in the comments above is that you have to have your cert. number in order to apply for the RN program. I too, have applied @ CAC. I am planning on starting in spring. I have had my App in since last oct and just couldnt get the vocab on the HESI!! But finally passed with flying colors and the sec. says they are setting up interviews at the end of sept for oct and then send out letters after that for spring.. Soo.. wish me luck. I have been yanked around by the CC, hope nothing comes up again!

Good luck to all that apply!

Hello All,

I'm starting my CNA class at CAC next week, I'd like to know what it's like and what to expect on the first day and for clinicals and where they do clinicals. I'll be at the superstition location, my class is on F/S all day for 8wks.

Thanks, Tonia

First day is just get to know you and syllabus stuff.

You'll have homework of course, chapters to read, abbrvs. to study. Since you have 8 weeks of classes it'll move pretty quickly.

Other than that I am not sure about the superstition campus as I took mine at Signal Peak... but good luck!

I am about to apply to CAC because I am fed up waiting for maricopa county. Someone mentioined an entry test...I passed the one for Maricopa County, won't that count..it's called the net test?

:lol2:

What is HESI? Is it the same as the net test for Maricopa County? Also, where did you apply. I sent away for an application package, is that the first step? I would appreciate your response. Thanks!

I am going to apply for CAC for spring admission. I am currently taking my CNA course at RSAA. I am in the weekend program and it's 6 weekends...I am going into the 4th weekend, with clinicals starting Sunday. I personally find it very boring. I'm hoping clinicals will be more exciting and I'm glad I can get it done in 6 weeks and not 15 like at the community college.

I am going to apply for Spring 09...can you tell me how I go about it, it is so different to Maricopa County..I would really appreciate it, as I have been on the waiting list for 4 semesters now and I am really getting fed-up waiting!...Thank you so much.

Ok.. sorry I haven't checked this sooner. Started a new job. Anyway.. it is too late to apply for the Spring 09 term, applications were due in October and they will be sending out letters this month.

Do you have the CNA yet? If so then since you are already on the MCC waitlist I imagine you already have all the prereqs, all you need to do is call the testing department at CAC to sched. to take the HESI. You take it on campus. Its $25 not timed and you have to score 80 on Reading, Vocab & Math and a 70% on A&P to pass. However you take all parts of the test. You can call the Nursing Department or advising to get more info on when you should submit for the Fall 09 as that would be the first one you could apply into at this stage.

HESI not the same as the NET... easier I thought.

Oh, when I took the net test they didn't have A&P in it! I have forgotten most of it! So now I will have to get the study guide for the HESI ! Thank you so much for giving me the info!!!
