Hey everybody. This website has been a lot of help throughout the past 3 years, so I'm here to try and help people out in return. I just finished my bridging portion at Centennial College (full-time) and I'm more than glad to answer some questions. Go crazy.
I would like to correct something the poster above me had stated. If you are not an IEN then yes you are guaranteed a spot. If you are an IEN then you are competing for a spot.
Sorry I am not aware of this restriction for IENs. The one IEN I knew in my cohort only needed the bridging certificate to qualify to sit the NCLEX. She did not need to proceed to Ryerson for her BScN but every IENs requirement is different depending on their assessment through CNO. I would not be too concerned with Ryerson not having enough seats for those who meet the 3.0 GPA requirement.
Hi,
Congrats on graduating! I was wondering why you chose to go to centennial for bridging as opposed to GBC since you said you did the RPN program there and it was a school you were already familiar with?
I got accepted to both GBC and Centennial for bridging and I'm having a hard time choosing which to go to. Do you know friends who have done the bridging at GBC? How did they like it?
Hello,
I am very interested in applying to Centennial when I finish my program. Just curious about the school in general, with professors and the facility. Is it very independent or professors are there to teach everything during the classes? Do students have the options in different parts of the GTA for clinical placements? Lets say, Etobicoke? Does the school partner with very good facilities in the region?
Lastly, how is the job prospects? I know the situation isn't good but, I wonder how difficult it is to find full-time work? I'm learning French so I hope it gives me points when I finally move out there :/
Thanks the Magnificent for helping us :)

Unless you plan on working in Quebec, I don't think knowing French will give you a huge leg up.
Hello,
I am entering the bridging program in fall 2018.
I was wondering how much time do they give you to compelete the nclex-pn and is it hard?
Are you able to work part-time while doing the bridging course?
I've heard that it is all about surivival is that true?
And lastly, do you restart a new gpa or do you continue on with your gpa in RPN and build on that?
Thank you!! sorry for all the questions
Hello,
I recently graduated PND program from Seneca College, I'm working towards my registration and it'll be obtained roughly in October 2018. I graduated with a 3.0 GPA, and have applied for the Centennial flexible bridging program. Does anyone know what my chances are of getting in? Or know of anyone that has gotten in with a 3.0 GPA?
Any input is good input, please help me out!
Thanks (:
This is an old thread but I'm trying to dig through archives for info. ? I got into both full time and part time Post Diploma at Ryerson (did the bridge year at GBC). I MIGHT have a full time job starting end of the month, so am considering both since it's not a guarantee.
1) I get you can move from full time to part time but not the other way around. Are they different streams? aka is Part Time online and Full Time (post-COVID) in person? If you drop a course, and pick it up later, do you do it with the part time students?
2) Is there a minimum course load to be considered full time?
