Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2022

Hi everyone! Cedars-Sinai has opened their New Grad RN Residency for the August 8th start date! I just applied and they are still accepting publications, has anyone heard back from a recruiter or anything?

Nice hopefully we can cross paths especially if we are on the same unit! How was your interview? Mine lasted about 15 minutes or so. I didn't get ask any clinical questions during my interview.

I interviewed today, still hopeful until I receive a rejection letter LOL

What unit did you apply for? I was an LVN as well and I thought that would make me more marketable but cedars is the only place I been able to get an interview for a new grad program.

What dept did you interview for? Congrats on getting through the interview portion and on to the reference portion! I hope we get our offer letter soon!

I interviewed with the 5S Pulmonary/GI unit! The interviewers were all super nice and welcoming so I feel like I went through the interview portion really well!

I have heard 5S is a good unit to work on, I heard management is cool and so is are the staff members as well.

For those of you who got the email for references, did your interviewers mention that  that would happen after the interview? I’m probably reading into it but mine just said that I’ll hear by next week once they send their response to HR , and they didn’t say anything about expecting an email for references right away.

My interviewer said to me that HR would get in touch with me next week. From what I read on previous post is that selected people get the reference check and then the offer letter.

In regards to the reference check-weren’t reference letters already included in our original application? Or did some people not submit references at first ?

No this is a reference of 5 people, 2 being supervisors/managers. I included the 2 references on my app but this is through survey something.

@Elevated_nurse yes, hopefully we do cross paths! Mine was also around 15-20 minutes. I think I got about 4 or 5 questions and no real clinical questions. 

@nurseymcnurseface  they did not mention anything about a reference check, they simply said we would hear back next week some time. I checked my email about 4 hours after my interview and was surprised to find the email. I think every unit works differently though!

Did your interviewer talk to you about block scheduling? She told me that one week I would be on M,T,Thu and then the next week Fri, Sat,Sun. I’m worried that I am misremembering, though. Did you hear something similar?

I also got the reference request! Does anyone know if this means we were accepted ?

Not officially but it could possibly be an option on moving forward. 7N hiring manager didn’t ask for reference on the people they interviewed.

@Elevated_nurse I interviewed with 7N and I got a reference email. What do you mean the hiring manager didn’t ask? I’m confused LOL
