Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!
I am sorry for those you who didn't get the invitation. I understand what it means to be in that position, but continue to keep your head up and persevere through for God has a plan for all of us! Good luck to all of us!!
I did get the invitation for next Tuesday as well for 3:30 pm. I'm not sure what to expect other than interviewing with the director and the nurse manager. Anyway, I wish the best for all of us!
Hello cohort 1 and 2!! :) Congrats on getting hired!!!!!!! I just want to ask if any of you guys remember any kind of questions from the 2nd interview with the managers and directors?? I am just super nervous :nailbiting:and dont know what to expect!! please help!!!!!!! i really appreciate it!! thanks
@Babyrn88: wow that is soon for an in-person interview. They should be sending out invites soon then to give people enough notice to make it.

Hi chliRN, and congrats and good luck to all of you moving on in the process for Cohort #3!
My second interview felt really informal. The manager who interviewed me started the conversation with telling me that there were no clinical questions and that this round of interviews was all about finding out who I am as a person and if I would fit into the culture of the unit. They will ask some scenario type questions about how you cared for your patients in the past. Like, "Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond a patient's expectations." A question that throws a lot of people off is one about "a time when you broke the rules." They want to know if you are going to abide by hospital policy, evidence-based practices, and not be swayed by "seasoned" nurses who may bend the rules. They want to know you will be a safe employee. I remember a lot of customer service oriented questions, as customer service is becoming more of a focus for hospitals now.
You will do fine! It is nothing to get nervous about. Just be yourself and let them know that you will be a good fit. The hard part is the waiting after the interview! It's torture!
Good Luck!
What time did they go up? The times are all messed up on here. I saw the post and completely forgot to check if it was going up but luckily applied in time! Do you guys know if our résumé and cover letter are saved with them? When I clicked apply and signed in it said thank you for submitting your information. So they received it I hope but I'm scared because it automatically submitted without making me do anything else!

They use the same resume and cover letter as the one you used last time. I had to update mine so i had to resubmit it. You can always update your profile and submit a new resume and cover letter. Just log In and click update profile

Okay that's what I thought just making sure. I updated and resubmitted again too just in case. Thanks :)
I know, that made me nervous too. Usually they ask you to look over the application before hitting "submit". Luckily I had edited my profile etc. yesterday, so hopefully that is what they received! I thought the July 24th date was kinda odd so I thought it might have been a typo. Got lucky. It went up around 12:30 pm today, and it is still up last I checked. I'm sure the July date threw everyone off. They are only taking 100 applicants for this one, so everyone who usually applies to these must not know yet.. Fingers are crossed!

I am really sorry about the rejections...I believe your door of opportunity will open soon in this process. Stay strong and positive!
I did get an invitation for the third round, so again I am grateful and hope it is meant to be. Good luck and best wishes for us moving forward and those moving on...we will all find our place soon enough.
