Decided to make a thread for Feb residency. Does anybody know exactly when it starts? Did you guys get called in for an interview? I got an email for an interview on Jan 7th!
For those of you accepted-congrats!!! Hard work pays off!!! Are there any suggestions you could share with those of us who want to apply for the next cohort?
Hi! I'm one of the selected ones to start in the February 2016 cohort.
One of my tips (if you don't know already): The entire application process moves VERY fast. So, do yourself a solid and make sure you have all your materials before you apply. And if you don't, be ready to hustle that month (as I did). Last thing you want is to not have what they're asking for by when they want and possibly lose out on an opportunity because of logistics. These materials namely include LORs, resume, personal statement, a list of references (5 or more) ready and available for them to contact, copies of your licenses/certifications, and your transcipt. I realize many of you guys who have been job searching likely already have all that ready to go, but for those who may be just graduating and/or starting to apply, here's your heads up!
Best of luck! Let me know if you (or anyone else interested in applying in the future) have any other specific questions. Will be glad to help to the best of my ability.
Do you know when the application opens or do you have a link to the new grad program information? i never found information on this and am interested in this program
Unfortunately, nobody really does. HR keeps the day/time pretty secretive. All I know is they generally hire three cohorts every year - winter/spring, summer, fall. For this cohort, they posted the job about 2 months before start date but other than that, there's really no other way to know when (that I know of) except to keep an eye out for the posting daily and/or sign up for the email alert. I do suggest creating a job profile on their site so you can quickly submit an application once the job is posted.

Thank you so much!!! So it wasn't like Loma Linda that has a dedicated position. Does it actually say new grad or is it just a clin I position? Thank you! Hope all are loving it!

Yes, it's been going great so far! Excited to get onto the unit and start the clinical part of the orientation.

You mean the job posting? I believe it was titled "new grad residency." If you put that as the search term for the nursing career site while the application is open, the specific post should appear.
