Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program Summer 2010

Just wanted to start a thread for Cedars 2010 Grad program. Anyone heard back yet? What are your stats?

Ok, everyone, please calm down! It's over :-)

I was able to get some information so I'll share here:

Base rate $32.50/hr for BSN, night differential $7/hr, night weekend differential $9/hr. MSN will have a 3% higher in base rate!

Within 1 week (maximum 2 weeks), they will call 50-60 people (out of 135 people were there today) to offer position. That means 45% of us will be selected. That's good statistic!

The program starts on Monday of 3rd week of February.

There's no second interview, at least not today. The directore was only there to read the comments the interviewer wrote down, make sure everything was okay, and clarify any questions. Most didn't have to speak with the director. I personally do not think it meant anything if you (or anybody) didn't get to talk to the director.

This one week wait is going to drive me insane!!! Keeping my fingers crossed. 45% is not bad at all. Good luck to all of us. :)

The more I think about that interview, the more I get anxious. I thought I was over the 'thinking about it and worrying" phase after I talked to you and my friends, but then my bf asked for a play-by-play on what happened. Lol

That's exactly what I did during our long drive home. Haha

I know. I don't even remember how/why we started talking. All I know is I was getting my soda and then BAAAAM! Lol it was nice meeting you though. And yes, keep in touch and let me know how things go.

Yey! For Disneyland to distress. :) And you should claim what's rightfully yours soon too (your Disneyland pass).

i got a chance to talk to director and I got a chance to see scores.....my interviewer hammered me on my medication questions. I really didn't think I answered them that poorly, but I got 2s on a lot of them.

When you talked to the director, was it like an actual interview? I spoke with the director too, but only for like a minute. It was only because she wanted to clarify something. It wasn't an actual interview.

hey guys,

so what i heard was that there were no second interviews for the day like originally suggested or though. Because of the director meeting that was held the directors weren't doing second interviews. So if they did call u up it was basically to say thank you, clarify anything that needed to be clarified, and to tell you that they will contact you with the results. as for the other HR table, it was for benefits and if you had any questions about the new grad program.

And just to add on to what was said.

Apparently in order to get into the speciality that you want. you need to complete the initial 4 mos. of med-surg. then wait till that specialty starts their training program. If you want to do that speciality you will have to interview for it again.
