Hi Everyone! Just starting this so we can all talk about the process and update each other in regards to interviews ? curious where everyone has applied and when your interviews are!

Low key feel like they were over it too hahhaa but I think it went well I guess we will see

do you know how many people they interviewed for that floor? and yes I was told that too! But I’m not sure when we’re gonna get that email like I don’t know if it’s going to be tonight or tomorrow

I might be wrong but I was told the unit interviewed around 5 people? I'm hoping for a reference email by tonight. 

At least final decisions come out tomorrow so the anxious waiting game won't be for too long! ?

that’s not too bad considering he said he would take like three people!! and yes! I couldn’t believe it when he said that they were doing final decisions tomorrow LOL

I got my reference email about 6 hours after my interview. Can’t believe it. For those who feel discouraged, I know how you feel! I was waitlisted for a year for nursing school and it was tough but I just kept working and trying and that is the only way! One way or another all of us will be working as nurses soon and the right job finds you.

What does “alternate” candidate mean?

Congrats! He also told me it was sent to alternates meaning back up candidates in case someone said no to the residency. Does anyone know when we are going to hear back about final decisions?

Hi, I am an alternate as well as I received the reference check yesterday. Does anyone know if we are an alternate to all departments or only the specific unit you interviewed for? I know it's most likely only one unit but just wondering..

How do you know if you are an alternate or not? And that’s a good question tbh, I would assume the department but not sure

Hey @abx, how did you know you were considered as an alternate?

The alternative assumption was made based off of previous statements in this forum that “alternates get the 5 reference email”. An assumption was made that alternates and not the chosen new Grad residents get the email. However, from previous chats it seems like both alternates and the new grad residents get the reference form. I could be wrong though- but previous forums (ie Feb 2021) support the idea that the new grad residents get the reference email as well.
