ce requirement for tennessee

The TN state board site says RNs need 5 CEs a year if not working, but I checked 2 other sites that said none are required. Also I let my RN license lapse a few months ago and would actually be happier working as an LPN. Will TN allow me to go and take the LPN exam? I was an LPN for 10 years before I went back to college.
