There are many sites that offer CE options, including some that are free. I am not familiar with nurse.com but I also tend to go for offerings from my speciality organization since there are specific requirements for my certification. A google search for "free nursing CE" will likely give you a host of sites. You can also look at offerings from your state nursing association and/or your own specialty organization. You may also want to investigate if your employer has partnered with an organization for CE opportunities- mine does.
For me it's specialty organizations (I'm in oncology now), lectures at my workplace and at least 1 yearly conference. Before that I was in school so I used my coursework to fulfill CE requirements. There are a number of free courses, but not everything is quality or applicable to your work.
