I am applying to several CRNA programs right now and have a borderline GPA. Some schools say take CCRN and some say take Organic Chemistry. What does everyone else think gives you an applicant a better chance?

Is CCRN pass/fail.. or is there an actual grade % you receive?

doehlzz,
To answer your questions- the CCRN is a pass or fail test. I took the CCRN via computer-based testing, and received an official "Score Report" print out sheet immediately after the exam. Since I passed, it said "Congratulations! You have passed the CCRN Certification Exam. Your official certificate, wallet identification card, and other renewal information that will explain how to maintain your certification status will be sent to you within 4 to 6 weeks" at the bottom of the paper.
The CCRN exam itself is 150 questions with 25 questions not counting, but you will not know the difference when taking the test. The Score Report sheet will also tell you the number of questions you answered correctly (Example: "Your score is 110 correct answers. The passing score is 89 correct answers"). So if you do the math, you can see your score as a percentage. The Score Report sheet will also tell you the percent of items answered correctly in each major category (Example: Cardiovascular 88%, Pulmonary 86%, etc). So you won't be able to see which exact questions you got right/wrong, but which category you scored highest or lowest.
Also, I'm not sure if other CRNA programs/schools ask for this, but my program asked the applicants who took the CCRN to bring a copy of their Score Report sheet for the interview.
I hope this information helps! Feel free to message me if you have any further questions :)
SRNA... where do you go to school? Any other info you can give me regarding applications.

I would say CCRN, I know that was a big driving decision in my program.
