Nurse Practitioner and CRNA questions.
Surprisingly, I know someone who has been both an NP and a CRNA. She originally went for her NP then decided to get her post masters as a CRNA. Many CRNA schools have the post masters option, unfrotunately while it sounds like you won't have to do as much as other CRNA students, you still have to take majority of the classes because the NP classes don't transfer into the CRNA program. It would probably increase your chances of CRNA admissions as well because they already know you can handle graduate level work, depending on your graduate GPA.

Can I ask what school you graduated from and what hospital you will be working at? Just curious because I am in a similar boat. I have been an ICU nurse already, but am looking at the same schools, etc.

Drexel
I have a question for those who know anything about the CRNA program at Drexel? I have looked into the program and researched that they only take about 20-24 students per year. With that being said I know that there is an option for current Drexel BSN nursing students to apply early admission into the CRNA program. Wouldn't one think that with this option that most of the seats for the program would be filled with such students and the openings for outside students would be limited? I emailed the program asking a question about this particular question, but the answer was very vague. Any information or experience that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
