  1. Surprisingly, I know someone who has been both an NP and a CRNA. She originally went for her NP then decided to get her post masters as a CRNA. Many CRNA schools have the post masters option, unfrotunately while it sounds like you won't have to do as much as other CRNA students, you still have to take majority of the classes because the NP classes don't transfer into the CRNA program. It would probably increase your chances of CRNA admissions as well because they already know you can handle graduate level work, depending on your graduate GPA.
  2. SRNA... where do you go to school? Any other info you can give me regarding applications.
  3. Any insight as to which would be better, previous professor or the dean of your nursing school?
  4. Is CCRN pass/fail.. or is there an actual grade % you receive?
  5. I am a UB alum as well.. cmrez23.. do you think this helped with getting into their CRNA program?
  6. 180 Chick, given that this was a couple years ago.. did you end up going to CRNA school?
  7. For the CCRN... isn't it just pass/fail? Or do you actually receive a % grade for it?
  8. Can I ask what school you graduated from and what hospital you will be working at? Just curious because I am in a similar boat. I have been an ICU nurse already, but am looking at the same schools, etc.
  9. DIVER CRNA.. are you still on this board by any chance?
  10. so for SRNA... is that when you are currently in a CRNA program?
  11. Haha.. i should just make 15 random posts. Would you be able to email me? I have been in touch with the faculty at Albany and am meeting with them this September. I am planning on applying next summer for matriculation in Fall 2013. Any information or advice would be great!
  12. Hey missy... I have a couple questions for you. Is there any way you can contact me? I am not very familiar with this site and am not sure how to contact you directly!
  13. JFishie87: I did my undergrad at UB and am currently working at an ICU in Rochester. Is there any information you could give me regarding the program and the admission process? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure how to contact you directly... so hopefully you will see this! Thanks.
  14. I have a question for those who know anything about the CRNA program at Drexel? I have looked into the program and researched that they only take about 20-24 students per year. With that being said I know that there is an option for current Drexel BSN nursing students to apply early admission into the CRNA program. Wouldn't one think that with this option that most of the seats for the program would be filled with such students and the openings for outside students would be limited? I emailed the program asking a question about this particular question, but the answer was very vague. Any information or experience that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
