2013 CCP Nursing Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hello Everyone,

Wanted to get this started for those who have applied to the program this year and want to get to know other applicants. I was accepted into the CCP nursing program for the 2012 fall semester start date. I attended until 6 weeks before the semester ended. Sadly I had to medically withdraw from the program so in order to continue I had to reapply and start over again. I am hoping to get back in this year. I look forward to talking to other people who have applied and get accepted.

I was too scared to get my results from the AHT, but yesterday I finally did -- I got a 21, which brings me to 9 points. (WOOOOOOT!!!)

The application booklet says, "Applicants with a score of 9, 8, or 7 points will be offered admission in descending order as space allows."

So . . . now I commence checking my enrollment profile religiously!

But if people with 9 & 8 points are supposed to be offered admission first, I'm wondering how rnnichols already got accepted with 7. It makes me doubt the application booklet, which is nerve-wracking!

I'm still waiting to hear back and I have an 8, so I don't know how accurate the book is.

Hi Ruby!

Yeah, see -- the woman who did the orientation thingy said that 8's & 9's were getting in -- especially since they went to 6's last year. What really surprises me is that they would be sending letters to anyone before the March 15th AHT deadline.

Eh, soon enough we'll be preparing for Fall and this will seem like a silly thing to have worried about. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway!

OK, cupidsqueen420 --

What's the deal with uniforms? I figure I might as well distract myself while I wait . . .

Hey winterchild, I just took my AHT on jan 31st and was wondering when you took yours and how long it took for your enrollment profile to change?

Thats awesome congratsss!!!

They accept students on a first come first serve basis. If someone scored a 7 and sent their information in prior to those that scored a 9, they will hear first. They hold slots at the end for those that did score a 9 and 8 but if you waited till the last minute to get your application in, you may not get in at all regardless of your score. They take the first 135 students that meet the qualifications.

Uniforms cost roughly $200 depending how much you buy. I bought 2 shirts, the jacket, 2 pants, socks, shoes, then u have to get a nametag and the ccp logo embroidered on the jacket and shirts. U also need to buy a stethoscope, watch, scissors, etc. Books are gonna cost you around $500-700 depending if you not only get the required but recommended ones as well.

I got accepted into GMC and they gave me a 14k transfer scholarship. I'm still waiting to hear back from CCP. I put my deposit in to hold my spot but haven't made a final decision. They said I can get my bachelors in 3 years since I have so many classes already done..so I'm really thinking about going there instead of CCP. If I do decide to go I'll be selling my books and uniforms. Since clinicals didn't start until week 5 of the semester I only wore the uniforms twice.

When is the latest that we will recieve letters does anyone know??

I took the AHT in The beginning of November, and my enrollment profile changed the last week of January.

Winterchild, I sent you a private message. Let me know whether you got it or not. I'm not seeing anything in my sent mailbox.

I'm so nervous about not getting into this nursing program. What's the latest date that I can receive an acceptance letter? I know the last date for students to take the AHT was March 3rd, so taking that into consideration I guess letters will be sent out until the end of March. Please let me know if you're still waiting as well.....
