Hi funnygirl,I started studying 3 months before the exam.I started with areas I did have as much experience in such as Voc Rehab first and then reviewed Voc Rehab towards the end of my studying.I enjoyed going to study at Barnes and Noble. When will you be taking the test? The best to you.At least you won't have to wait 4-6 wks for the results.
I just sent you a private message. I have not decided when I will sign up for the test yet, since I need to plan my 'study time' with my tight schedule. Thanks so much for your study timeframe. What book did you use? Thanks!
Hi all: Just wondered if anyone was interested in selling their study materials (books, cd's, etc.) Please let me know by replying to this or private emailing me at [email protected]. Thanks in advance!
my employer purchased the study guide and i had to return it.. i did not find it helpful other than the reading material, the "mock chapter tests" were confusing and designed weird. they gave you answers at the end of the chapter which was helpful but most of the time it was an answer like a & b or c & b or abc, like that, so it didn't really give one straight answer. like i said very confusing!~ denise fattaruso/quinn was not helpful with regard to the types of test questions and answers. would not recommend. i found this blog the best place for test information and what else to study. this blog was the best i found....so i recommend taking a look at her information. i also want to say that i found the test very commen sense... and to take your time when answering and don't think it to death... remember what is usually your first thought is usually the right answer......you know, just as you know that instinct is the best indicator......good luck , i hope this helps..:yelclap:rn1iam

Hello,
Praise God!!!!I took the CCM Exam today and passed!
Can't wait to receive the certificate in 4-6 weeks. The instant results with
the computer testing saved me weeks of anxiety.
I recommend the reference guide on the CCM website, study tools by Linton. (casemanagementexam.com) and The case management handbook.
Good luck to All
evening all...congrats on passing the ccm.....i am taking next week 12/11/2010.... anxious...did not think at my age 50+ i was going to need this however employer has mandated.....lucky me
nurse for more than probably alot of you are age wise...lol...
have been using Dr. Linton and comfortable with that, flash cards too much info at one time, material borrowed from a fellow coworker nurse from am one day seminar with a affliated cmsa partner...(funny thing is coworker took the exam and passed and then took prep class) and also I am using a study test 500 questions from a prep classl at work...geez think thats enough...seems like everything is not making sense....
Would like to know what format the questions are in, domains, passing score % and some good tips on how to lessen anxiety....cant find any in my reading material....
Dyslexic here and this is going to be a real test of my ability to keep it straight and read questions correctly..
Any advise and knowledge would be great...thanks all :heartbeat:vlin: gmatrish

I hear you. I take it next Monday. I think I have a handle on it then review it again and cant remember a thing. Im mostly worried about the laws..all the acronyms...Anyone out there remember anything....
Thanks,
to talia1169.....best wishes to pass the exam.....i remember then forget so this is going to be a real test. my dad has been dead for 13 yrs. i remeber his words..." the ability to engage in a battle is more of a reward then the win itself"...so true. I put alot of time and emotional equity in the preparation. if for some chance i do not pass i will put this behind and go forward and take it again....makes me pack more ammunition......
good luck wil let you know how i did ......
