CCM EXam, Questions and Tips

:confused: I'm going to be taking the CCM Exam for the first time this Fall, and would like to hear from those who have taken it; i.e. what study materials (if any), did you find useful, and which areas of the test were the hardest? Thanks!:wink2:

okay guys, listen to this...as per my previous reply, i contacted ccmc to complain regarding the no results yet issue. they referred me to prometrics who said that the results were released to the ccmc already but the ccmc just wasn't posting. i shared this w/ the ccmc and this is what i was told: i was mislead, but the ccmc doesn't think prometrics did it on purpose. they gave a standard answer. ccmc said that they post the results the same day that they're received, and that the test results take 4-6 weeks because "...the system for grading is to wait until all exams have been given (july 9th-24th) before the process can start. the test is scored on a weighting system- being that there are 5 different exams with 5 different degrees of difficulty. first they 'even out' the degrees of difficulty, and then the test is graded on a curve. so if 400 people got question number 1 wrong, for example, then that question would be counted as less." in that case, i think i'm happy to wait? i too check the dashboard every day, sometimes twice cause i don't know what time of day they post results. it's good, i guess but...ugh! makes me wanna put a pen in my eye! :uhoh3:

OK Team. How nervous are we? Tomorrow is week 4!!!!:chair: I am praying that CCM folks get those results posted on the early side and not wait closer to the 6 week end. Good Luck to all!

Another fruitless day of waiting is almost through. I need to pray for patience, because this is :uhoh3:. It won't matter after much longer, but I wish CCMC would have just been straight with everyone from the beginning and said not to look for the results before 4 weeks. They threw in "within" 4 weeks which opens to door to the possibility of it being earlier. I still can't help but check the website often. It is driving me nuts. Please let all of us have passed, so we can move on from this!!!

I totally agree with you, another fruitless day of searching for the results. But at this point, I'm inclined to have a Margarita, relax, and try again tomorrow. What else can we do? This is definitely a lesson in patience! Hang in there, everyone. ;)

I called CCM today and a lady told me to check my dashboard the 1st week in september for results and also when you call the CCM# it gives a almost at the beggining of the message before the prompt to s/w someone, its says results the first week of September.Hold on a little bit longer.I am checking the dashboard though 2x/day.

Hey you all the web site for checking results has an error, you think they maybe posting results or maybe they are getting a lot hits at the web site?
