I have been accepted to two nursing programs, and am still deciding which one I want to go to. In any event, I still need both A&P's and Micro, and was thinking about the CCCOnline courses. I've emailed both schools to find out if they will accept them as transfer credits - and since there is a lab, I'd have a hard time seeing why not, unless they just don't consider it as "in-depth" as a classroom course - but wanted to see if anyone had any trouble with this. I haven't heard yet though.
One of the colleges I was accepted to is a private Catholic, and quite pricey, but have the daytime program I wanted. Plus I could go on and get my BSN there, or MSN if I wanted (if I had the dough!). But being pricey, I'd just as soon take the Bio courses I need elsewhere. I'm already transferring in all of my other credits from a tech college, so there is no problem with that.

CCConline classes go through the Colorado Community College of you choice (i.e. Red Rocks Community College, Front Range Community College). These are all regionally accredited schools. The thing is, the only way a school knows you took the class in a non-traditional setting is if you tell them. Your transcripts show A & P 1 with lab, 4 credits. Nothing about online in it. i took A&P 1 through them and will be doing A&P 2 and Micro in the upcoming semesters. Congrats on the acceptance
After talking with my college and having them look over the CCCOnline site, they decided they will not accept it. First, they had a LOT of problems with the site - horrendous number of pop-ups, though I didn't have that problem due to pop-up blocker on Google. Then they could not get the required information out of them. Since they had so many problems, they advised me against it. They were not clear, and couldn't get any answers, on exactly how the labs are completed.
So, I'm off to find an A&P 1 program for the summer. I'm glad I asked though, before I took it and found it would not be transferrable! That would have been money in the wind!
How odd, I've enver had a pop-up and the info was pretty straight forward. Oh well, you're right though, good thing you checked.

Our state has a similar program - a consortium of community colleges work together to offer courses online. And the same as the other poster mentioned, your transcript is only from one of the community colleges within the state, it doesn't state that they were online courses.
I haven't taken A&P or Micro that way, but I'm taking Chem via this distance portal this semester (will finish up in late April). :)

Well as you said it's good you found out before putting time and money into it but I am curious about the problems they stated. I took an online class with ccconline last semester and not once did I have even one pop-up. Odd too if they based their decision on techinical difficulties as they don't change the accredidation of a school. Why didn't they call the school and speak to someone on the phone who would have been more than happy to answer their questions and provide all the course information they were looking for.
Believe me I took A&P I and II through a traditional college program. Mine was a cake walk compared to those who have taken it online. I didn't put in 1/2 the amount of time completeing assignments as they do.
Good luck to you in school.
