Hello, I am starting a topic for the cohort at Community College of Baltimore County who will be applying for the Spring 2020 semester. I know that applications will be due soon at the end of this month, so please share your nerves, questions, ect. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone, I posted this question in the Fall topic as well hoping for a response. I want to apply for the Fall 2020 semester for the Catonsville Online program, but I heard it is harder than the other programs, and the graduation rate is very low/ drop out rate is high. Does anyone know where I can find stats on the success rate? I'm trying to compare the online program with the Essex evening/weekend program. I feel like those numbers should be publicly available (I think that is part of the Student Right To Know Act)?

I talked briefly to a girl in the hybrid program recently in passing and she said a lot of people in her class either dropped the program or failed out, but she didn't have time to elaborate, and it kind of scared me because that was my first choice of program. I tried talking to an adviser, and they couldn't give me hard numbers, only that "it is very challenging".

I'm entering my final semester (FINALLY) of the evening/weekend program. We started with 41 people- as of right now we have 16. I think it's common in most programs for people to either fail a class (therefore making them wait a year or switch to the day program), or drop due to the workload. The pass rate for the 2018 graduating class of the evening/weekend program was 100%! So, while it can be a bit tedious and time-consuming, it seems they're definitely preparing you for NCLEX.

Hi @JessMae I had two friends that were both in the program one online and one in class. The online content was very hard for one of my friends often times she had many questions and wasnt able to get real clarity because the class was online not sure if they were following a powerpoint or a online professor but she had a very hard time. The following semester her grades begin to drop because she wasnt really understanding the material. She ended up moving to day program and had to repeat medsurg1 again, the online program was very rough I think online classes are harder anyway because you really are teaching yourself. Hope this help and good luck next semester!

Ahhh I’m really not sure since it was in my mailbox and I don’t check that often (I check once every week or two). I can say that I ordered my uniform and badge the same day and my uniform is still not here. I ordered both on 12/25 and received my badge sometime last week. Sooooo I’m guessing around a week and some change, but not more than 2 weeks since it hasn’t even been two weeks since I ordered.

Only if you didn’t go to the first one.

Hello All,

I emailed the professor for Catonsville RN Program Nurn 153. She advised Dr. Webster is aware we are unable to access Examplify.

Hi, quick question how does the FASFA disburse money? mailed check, bank account or do you have to pick something up from the financial aid office.

It should be distributed directly to the school, with whatever is left over being deposited into your bank account. I had to link my bank with CCBC before the refund could be deposited, but it's super easy. The financial aid office should send you a link that allows you to sign up for direct deposit.

Hey guys, I have a question for the Essex campus peeps. I see people buying the ATI material, but that is not on our required textbooks nor is it anywhere in the packet. They didn’t mention it in orientation either. Does anyone know if Essex campus has to get them as well?

Essex provided us (I'm in my final semester now) with the ATI materials.
