To all of the Essex Day people, have they registered you for classes yet? I don't see anything registered in Simon for spring yet.

hey- I cant get any of the admins to answer an email.. can someone just confirm that CCBC accepts red cross CPR certifications?/ does anyone else have the red cross cpr cert? I've seen both red cross and american heart association written on some of our info sheets but I just want to double check lol

@BStoBSN Ahhhh I believe so, but I can’t remember. If you haven’t went to get your cpr yet just do American cross. Also, I know Cindy and Susan responds (I don’t remember if you said your in Essex day). It is a weekend so they may not respond until Monday.

If your from Essex. I was told by Cindy Moore that we are not registered yet for fundamentals and they will let us know when.

Hi everyone, I posted this question in the Fall topic as well hoping for a response. I want to apply for the Fall 2020 semester for the Catonsville Online program, but I heard it is harder than the other programs, and the graduation rate is very low/ drop out rate is high. Does anyone know where I can find stats on the success rate? I'm trying to compare the online program with the Essex evening/weekend program. I feel like those numbers should be publicly available (I think that is part of the Student Right To Know Act)?

I talked briefly to a girl in the hybrid program recently in passing and she said a lot of people in her class either dropped the program or failed out, but she didn't have time to elaborate, and it kind of scared me because that was my first choice of program. I tried talking to an adviser, and they couldn't give me hard numbers, only that "it is very challenging".

I was in the hybrid program, but decided to transfer to the in-person program for various reasons. We started with around 25 to 30 people I think, and lost a few in the first 3 - 4 weeks. Some people thought it'd be completely online- but we were at school for at least 3 days a week for many weeks. I think that didn't go over so well for the people who were trying to work full time- they didn't really tell us our schedule until orientation, and even then it was subject to change whenever they felt like it. Also they didn't give us any power points like the rest of the nursing programs get, so that really was a huge disadvantage!
